How Does the Process Work?

While procedures vary by county, most mail-away and online programs follow a similar process:

• Complete the marriage license application provided by the issuing Clerk of Court.

• Submit copies of valid government-issued photo identification.

• Complete any required forms or affidavits.

• Attend a virtual appointment or submit notarized documents, depending on the county's requirements.

• Pay the applicable marriage license fee.

Once approved, the Clerk of Court will issue your Florida marriage license according to that county's procedures.
