Step 1: Apply for Your Marriage License

Before your wedding day, you and your partner must obtain a valid Florida marriage license from any Florida Clerk of Court office. The license can be obtained in any Florida county and used anywhere within the State of Florida.

Most counties recommend scheduling an appointment in advance, although walk-in availability may vary. Both applicants typically need to appear in person and present valid government-issued photo identification.
